Flash Fiction Wednesday!!

Good evening everyone,

I hope you all are having a good week so far. My week is going well so far. My boss went away on vacation and that left me with some extra time to work on my current WIPs at work. So I've been typing away this week and working on DarKnight Dawn of the Red Sun and Seraphim's Lament, which is a novella I'm working on for an upcoming anthology entitled Beyond the Door. As time goes on I'll have more information, teasers and the cover reveal. I'm about 5,000 words in out of 20,000 and I'm enjoying where this story is going so far.

As far as DarKnight goes, I am in the fifth chapter of that. I had previously started DK2 right after finishing DK1. However, I got sidetracked with other things like signings and other book-related events. I also wanted to put out the next hound book, which was Adien and Harmony's story, at the time. So DK2 was on hold. Now that I am picking it back up I have to go through what I previously wrote to remember what my characters were doing. But, I plan to have that ready for the first half of 2020.

I have a few other books and novellas that I am thinking about releasing for 2020. My goal is to have 3 release next year starting with Seraphim's Lament and then DarKnight followed by another WIP. I haven't decided just what the last release of that year would be...

Anyway, that's enough business. Let's get to the fun stuff and catch up with Roxxy and her Ghoul to see just how they get out of the trouble they are in.

Take it away Roxxy (hands the keys over to Roxxy)

The Ghoul Part 4

If you're ever wondering about a good way to piss off a supernatural creature just interfere with their feeding or their naughty times and you'll gain first-hand knowledge of just how vicious and savage they can be.

A lesson that was currently being taught to the drunk and his little boy band.

Standing off to the side so I didn't get hit, I watched with splendid fascination as Manny bulldozed his way through his enemies. With the skill of a predator, he dodged punches and thrown objects while landing solid blows to his opponents' bodies. And it wasn't long before he'd dropped them all like flies.

"Come on," he said as he stepped over a body, "Let's get out of here." He grabbed me by the hand and pulled me along as he quickly made his way out the bar.

In the background, the commotion from bystanders echoed and I could feel hundreds of gazed locked on us as we made our way down the street.

"Where are we going?" I asked once we were a good distance away from the bar.

The sound of police sirens and shouting voices faded until they were nothing more than a low hum of noise.

He looked at me from over his shoulder and those red eyes glowed brighter. However, it wasn't from rage but lust. "My place. Trust me, its much more fun than that shitty bar we were just at."

Something flickered in his gaze just before he turned around. And again, that unsettling feeling stirred inside of me.

I'm sure it will be. I thought to myself as I let Manny drag me along until we came to a beautiful brownstone. A night to remember...

-TO BE CONTINUED-

I know, I know, this episode is pretty short today. I'm sorry about that. However, I don't want you to feel cheated so make sure to tune in Friday for a special episode. My way of apologizing for this quick part tonight.
